I was on a GWX pre-war patrol, 23 Augustish. Tracked for a little while a sonar contact, surfaced, and made way to it. Spotted it a short while later and dove.
Started making out the details on this potential target, four masts, center stack. Nothing too impressive. I was about to make a range estimate when it disappeared. Not sunk, not exploded, disappeared. I kinda did a double take, tracked the periscope left and right real quick, zoomed out, did a full 360, but to no avail. There was no longer a ship there.
Anybody ever have this happen to 'em?

It probably teleported
to the Nazi Base on Mars.
:hmmm:
Materials are need to build new Spaceships to attack Earth someday.
:haha:
Seriously?
It reached it's final waypoint and disappeared.
You get that from time to time.
Mostly near the Coast as they have reach thier destination.

Wierd. Cool, but wierd. I had not seen this before now. 'course, I haven't been playing all that long. I was actually kind of mad about it because it was shaping up to be a very good "dry run"

stock sh3 patrols will disappear near the coast of their destination. GWX makes them only disappear in or just next to a dock.

Some Ships still go 'POOF' in GWX
even away from the harbors and docks.

That's generally what the guy on the bridge shouts at me as he waves goodbye...."POOF" :o
Wait 'til you meet zombie ships. They sink but never die. Good stuff for the GWX tales of horror.

Ugh. I had to put five ****ing eels into a cargo ship before she'd even STOP, let alone go down.

LoL, all I did was run a tracking exercise, and she got sucked to another dimension!

I had spent a good amount of time following a convoy once.
Somehow, it turned around, and was coming toward me.
