I was just visiting the 2K Games forums and there's a thread begun by the rep for 2K Games announcing they are scaling their "online Internet connection requirement" back to a DRM similar to most other Microsoft Games for Windows. They make a point of letting everyone know they listen to their customers feedback and that they are responding accordingly.

Maybe Ubisoft will do the same at some point with SH5. Let's hope.

Considering PC GAMER (the US largest PC Games magazine) SLAMMED UBI on both SH5 and Assassins Creed II (said Cannot Reccomend Buying due to DRM in the magazine) just because the DRM.... UBI better do something.

Well I would wonder just what they have in mind with "back to a DRM similar to most other Microsoft Games for Windows."

Still it offers some hope of a signature change.

The new DRM validates your copy via Internet but does not prevent you from playing offline. That's good enough for me and I think really is all these companies can realistically expect for effectiveness.

Totalitarianism is stupid and just causes a lot of grief.
