I'll start:
Was playing Napoleon Total War last night as Prussia, was doing dam good too, until i had an uprising in the capital, got given the choice to either support the government or the rebels.
I chose the government, attempted to rout the rebels surrounding my capital and surrounds, and got done! Big time. Faction lost! Game over!

Testing a plane mod for a game to see if the changes I made worked or not. I tested this by timing how long it took me to from the runway smack into a certain building. I did this about 10 times. The stat which was supposed to change max speed, wasnt changing anything though :cry:. So I went back to adjusting the weapons pylon positions so that the rocket pods didn't clip with the landing gear on retraction.

I was playing the Lost and the Damned, and had to steal a motorcycle for a side mission. During the actual stealing of the bike I had lost half of my health because of a gunfight. On the way to the drop off point, I'm speeding across the bridge between Bohan and Algonquin when a taxi cuts me off. The motorcycle slams into the car, sending me airborne over the side of the bridge. I spin head over heels several times before smashing my skull into the pavement.

To make matters worse, my girlfriend who was in the room with me blurts out "That's what you get for driving like a maniac."

Came in at 2k meters in a Stuka. Hit my divebrake, rolled over and laid a 250kg bomb into the middle of town. As I came up out of my dive a Spitfire passed and got a few hits on me. I was able to evade long enough to make it to friendly AA guns and the Spit was soon toast. I could see at least 30 Panzers heading to town along with many opels to set up the infantry assault so I felt good about our chances and decided to leave the area.

On my RTB journey it was smooth sailing until I went to land. The damage I took from the spitfire made it very hard to control, and just as I came in I clipped my landing gear on the top of the trees surrounding the field and "poof" I was a ball of fire.

I've had several deaths in IL-2.

Desperately trying to get some shots on the fast approaching enemy aircraft resulting in head on mid-air collision. :oops:

I've managed to drop bombs too low resulting in a broken plane.

Shooting an enemy aircraft heavily damaging it and then flying beneath it, then said enemy aircraft drops onto mine. You feel kind of stupid after such a mistake. :oops::dead:

Staying too long behind the bombers so the turretmen can get some target practice. :doh:


When you mentioned the P-38 I remember getting the aileron controls damaged by AAA. But by selecting/de-selecting the engines and running them at different speeds I was able to bank the aircraft so I can turn. (Would be much easier with a throttle quadrant!) I managed to land at the airbase. It was the Pacific Islands map or whatever it's called. But it was only in the quick mission editor so, would have been more difficult in a mission.

Made a quick mission in A2 where me & 2 other squads need to patrol 3 forests and there's randomly placed US force in one of them. Being the impatient tit I am, I was running first in line eventho I was supposed to be in the rear of the column. Well, of course the US force was in that forest.

Ah, yes. I've been in that situation before, no aileron control. Only rudder and elevator. Loss of elevator control isn't fun though. :o
However intelligent use of flaps may save the day if the elevators aren't locked in an awkward position.

Hmm... :hmmm: I remember though not being able to turn using the controls, it was a long time ago.
AAA fire can be devastating if it hits the wrong spot. There must have been more damage to the aircraft than I can remember. :-?

I built a fleet of light galleys and galleys (Light galleys cause I couldn't build normal galleys till I got division of labor and upgraded the port) Then sent them against a fleet of Ottoman Brigs, Sloops and whatever else they could scrounge up... We got utterly trashed in the end. :rotfl2:

I had Ingame -immersion- reasons however, they were built in Crimea... The newly conquered region was constantly rioting so The King of Poland ordered a fleet of Galleys to be built in the trading docks crewed entirely of Crimean rowers and crew. He told the people it was a "Fleet to protect Poland's interests in the Black Sea" When in reality it was an effort to ship the rebellious populace of Crimea away into slaughter and have their "Heroic Deaths" cause the Crimean People to side with the Polish against the Ottomans. :arrgh!:

Went on for ages, each of us deciding to give up and run away (to gain mana, then turn back and fight), and each giving chase, went like this for about 20 mins.

THEN i chased her into a group of her team mates (about 30 of em)..... I didnt last much longer.....

She did "salute me with respect" before i released from my corpse.

was a good rush, hands were shaking from the adrenaline. Had to take a few mins after for a smoke to calm my nerves.

Darn, I'd hope the mmorpg's today would implement the same system when you die as is(/was) in Runescape when I used to play it 7-9 years ago. Basically, when you died, you always lost something, you kept only the three most valuable items you were carrying/wearing when you died. Was nice. :hmmm:

Rolled my Sturmtiger close to the front to fire at a IS3 that had its tracks knocked off by a Tiger, when a dim wit on my team rolled his Panzerwerfer up beside me and managed to topple over when he drove over some debris. The Panzerwerfer started to burn and when I noticed it was to late. The insane explosion killed my Sturmtiger, at least two infantery squads, a PzIV, a mortar and ripped a naval crane loose from its socket. Parts of the crane landed on my officer.:timeout:

Was doing some long-range sniping on our SSC Arma server for an hour or so. I had great cover, deep inside a forest some 800 meters from the west edge of the town from where I had good view to the main intersection and was able to among other things disable an BMP2 by taking out it's commander & gunner from give or take 1200 meters. :rock:

Anywho, at one point a T72 flipped over while trying to scale a hill near the town, I saw the crew bail out but my range was set for longer range that where they were so decided to leave them be. Little did I knew that the crew was coming after me. :o Was just preparing to take a shot at some guy who was trying to help a wounded guy I had shot earlier when I got shot point blank by one of the T72 crewmembers who had sneaked on me. :damn:

*sigh* I wish ACE1 would have the Tac-50 SD, M107 is a tad too loud. :hmmm:
