View Full Version : SH5 Moderators, My Sincerest Acknowledgements
Lord Justice
04-20-10, 09:08 PM
Sirs, it gives me the most sensible satisfaction to open a thread, in order to acknowledge the fine work of our moderators operating within SH 5 forum. Also to give a little quarter from the bitter molested topics of Patch no 2. In justice to all members of our community, one must here say, i have as yet to earn my right and obtain the privilage to converse and aquaint with our moderators. I know them not, but have spoke with one, Sir Webster. (a fair and open man within our subsim forum). I present this thread for all, and have the honor of paying my respects to Neal, Takeda, JC, Webster, Mcbeck, and other members whom preform a duty, service, and undertake tasks, that we may be somewhat blinded to appreciate. :salute: At times we hinder purely to lurking, learning, and myself more often curious, desirous to observe true intent to posts, but what kind of manner, would they serve? without in my humble opinion the moderators justly thoughts. That said i cannot flatter myself that all posts be reformed herein, as present busy times demand more posts, thus force many more obstacles, against the small minority of moderators, and i am sensible to this matter. With ever growing members assembled in one room at said time, to place our lot, it is much to be wondered at. :yep: So as we, attempt indeed to keep in check our, hideous outrages and rants, i in silence toast you gentlemen of worth, of which i place my utmost confidence and admiration. :yeah: I wish we can all understand, and take such post, in the hope that it be fairly considered, represented, and supported, in such a manner similar of the acknowledgement, we give to the Modders . With respect, and many commendations to the forum, moderators, and the rest of this fine company, i sign off for now. Good Day

I will say it as I always said...
If the modders were invited to CLOSED Beta test .... and consulted on what SH fans want... SH 5 would have been a BLOW OUT, cant keep up with sales, Money fest for UBI.
You modders are the most talented on the planet....THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK :yeah: :salute: :woot:
To the mods! It certainly isn't an easy job. Especially not around "New SH release time". Or patch time. Great work guys! :salute:

Aside from the Gatling gun being used to kill some flies method of taken all of the posts dealing with the delayed patch and throwing them all into one jumbled mess, where it is difficult at best to find the more legit threads from the "ubisoft sucks" pile.
The moderators do a very good job. They also do a good job stopping flame wars before they start.
Thank you to all the mods.

That should be easy to dodge, really. We can safely say OSP, without fear of blowing up and actually that's the real name of this silly type of.... copy protection.
You all thought I was gonna say DRM, right? Oh oh!

Thanks for the heads up (and RIP).
The 1.01 patch of this mod will address a number of issues and fixes.
- To prevent customers from illegally reading Subsim forums everyone will be required to have a permanent internet connection in order to do so.
- Customers who are illegally posting on Subsim forums will be required to register, giving us lots and lots of personal information about them. Please rest assured that this information will be kept strictly confidential (unless, of course, some asks us nicely for it, in which case they can pretty much have it).
- People who annoy me (or have annoyed me in the past) will just suddenly vanish. I don't mean just from the forums, but vanish altogether. We ask you to be patient with this feature as this is a very long list. Trust me, we will get aound to you eventually. This should give many of you time to put your affairs in order.
- The bug where people were able to post about you-know-what without consequences has been addressed. Posters who use the term OSP will get the same reaction as those who use the letters DRM...
oh crap!

There's one thin line which, when crossed in search of pompous expressions, leaves a sentence void of any meaning. Plus, since nobody actually talks like that in a normal conversation, I regard his style of writing as a mock to all non-english members. A statement which will inevitably receive the reply of "Dear sir, surely you must jest, for I am no longer inclined to waste my exquisite manners on someone as primitive and low-skilled in the customs of this universal language".
Although I have to admit, I admire how he has managed to throw low blows to members without attracting the wrath of the management, by gently disguising ugly words with Eduardian grace. Laughing at the back of a deaf man is a lonely business and the man who laughs alone almost deserves pity. However, since this is a free country (I mean forum), I usually just skip his posts.
