A British woman has suddenly started speaking with a Chinese accent after suffering a severe migraine, she said in comments quoted by British media Tuesday.

I have heard of this before.

Wasn't it about a foreign guy that suddently after a blow to the head spoke perfect English without a study of it.

Yes, similar cases. One man had brain surgery and upon awaking he had an Irish accent. There are quite a few incidents of this oddity.

Yes its a well documented syndrome.

Im not sure of the Psychological or Physiological causes - but i believe the person with certain brain injuries will - quite uncontrollably - speak in the last foreign accent they heard or the accent they have the most exposure to.

Its enough to make you want to watch Sean Connery films constantly - just in case!

Foreign Accent Syndrome - in that case - might get you laid quite frequently

Just be sure to wake me up before you go-go. And not with any careless whispers, either.

I was having a migraine when I read Steve's post, and then...

You want to know what's funny - WHAM is also an acronym for this (http://headaches.about.com/library/weekly/aa-wham.htm).

And thus the circle is complete. :O:
