There are so few people in the lobby
I hate when I find a game and I can't join because the latency is 999.
Is this my fault and can I fix it?
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Did you check your firewall settings? I don't know what the problem could be beyond that.
The old multiplayer system used to be an absolute disaster, but I've been told it's been much cleaned up. Here's hoping.

If someone has a game lobby up and it pings 999 that means they have not opened the proper ports to host a game. Players joining should not have to change anything unless they are behind some serious protection.

I posted all you need to know here:

Not entirely sure if this applies to SH5 but I've ran into it on a few other games with multiplayer:

If you are running Windows Vista / 7 you might have to right click the sh5.exe and choose "Run as administrator".

I'm sorry, that does not have anything to with it whatsoever.

I run Windows 7 and the problem is people that want to play do not know how to open ports to host. Its that simple, theres no UBI server problems, its 100% user related and comes back to simple computer management.

As stated all the info you will ever need it in my post above.

I play with my friends in Vietnam all the time.
