hopefully someone here knows which of the late-war radar-warning-receivers are best to identify airborne radar?
atm, my career is in Jan1944 and there are three RWR to choose from:
FuMB1 "Metox" (Biscay Cross)
FuMB7 "Naxos"
FuMB10 "Borkum"
I just don't know which one is the most efficient and covers the most band-width of allied radar .....
(GWX-manual does help in understanding the frequencies but does not tell which one to use)
any help appreciated!! :salute:

FuMB10
You want the latest in order to keep up with the advances in allied radar
This may help

I can't give you any advice about how effective these are in game, as my war is usually over by the time RWR gear comes into service :DL
EDIT: I suppose one would have to assume that later models (ie. higher numbers) means better?

I would think so too.
I think some of the best warning devices could detect even centimetric radar?

you are right.
what puzzled me was the difference of band-width between Naxos (3-12cm) and Borkum (20cm-3m).
I didn't know which one to install .....
but I decided to take the latest.
hope I'll survive to keep you informed!
thx for all the help, mates!!:salute:

Whatever the latest is, you want it. :)

thx again to all of you!
after having survived an air-raid (about 10Halifax-bombers over Brest, which one we could take out of) I made it across Biscay Bay and the Naxos (which was the latest! though the number is smaller) proved to announce all of the incoming air-crafts.
so it does work better as the Metox now!

here's an in-game pic of the RWR antenna FuMB-3 Bali aka "Häschen" (bunny), a dipole antenna which replaced the "Biscay Cross" and came along with the Naxos-receiver:

I did not want to start a new thread just for this one question, and could not find a thread similar but this one seems sort of close seeing as how when you are detected depth charging comes next.
I am wondering if destroyers carry a limit of depth charges, I tend to count them when I get attacked and per destroyer I tend to receive around 50-75 of them and then they leave.
Now I always wondered why they left the scene. Did they run out of depth charges and give up? Or did they lose me cause I usually go down to 50rpm and sit around 160-180m?
I only need one or two good experienced answers as to not steal this thread:)
They probably lost you and 30-45 minutes after they lose you they will leave. They also have a limited number of depth charges but, if they haven't lost you, they will continue to make attack runs, even though they have nothing to drop.:yep:
