Hi Guys

I have been trying to edit SH3 so that I can somehow spend more than 1 day in a port other than my home port, for instance I started a career in Oct1940 in a type IID and patrolled to Lorient from kiel as that is my home
base (1st Flotilla) as a lot of uboats did in thoe days but for the life of me I can't edit the game so I spend more than one day in port as I was undamaged. SH3 commander doesn't fix it if I choose the days spent in base via randomized days orf if I set it to say 14 days, I rollbacked commander and changed it in the SH3 commander config files and the cfg files in SH3 but I can't get it to more than 1 day any ideas guys and girls ??

Cheers

I think you change it in C:\Users\"your name"\Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers\"your commanders name"\Patrols_0. Scroll down to the bottom and find the line

NbDaysInBase=14

and change the number to what you want and save.

BTW: the file opens with notepad.

In SH3Cmdr click the "In other base before patrol" label and it will change to "In home base before patrol". SH3Cmdr will then treat the docking like a home port docking, meaning it will apply the number of days that you have set through SH3Cmdr's options, or SH3's defaults if you haven't set any value through SH3Cmdr's options.

See Note 3 on page 13 of the SH3Cmdr User Guide...

Yeah I figured it out, pretty simple after all, thanks JScones.

It generally is when utilising the benefits SH3 Commander gives you.

Never go to sea without it http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/pirate.gif
