Event Camera will not disable

Title says it all.

When looking through my periscope my computer/system can run smooth and nice with the explosions/fire, etc.

But... toss in an event camera at the same time and it gets all laggy (FPS) slow.

So... I have disabled the event camera.

Problem is.... it still pops up anyway. What gives? Anyone know how to manually disable the code for this? I can't find a mod to remove the event camera. Anyone with the same issue/desire?

gosh, Mac! You seem to be having a pretty rough time. Have you looked at the, "Options" screen to see if some of your items have been magically reset? I ALWAYS have trouble as my, "Imperial" selection gets changed back to, "Metric" after every session!

Think we need to look at your mod selection again?

Nope, the checkbox option remains unchecked on game reloads and seems stable.

I had problems getting selected options to remain selected as well. For a while there I thought I wasn't able to turn off free camera, every time I left port it was still active.
I would check the options menu again just to be sure it didn't uncheck.

I've given up and am now, "expert" with the metric system. Besides, the ONE mod I'm using, Enhanced Recognition Manual, only lists keel depth in meters!

Mac's mods...where's the, "search and discover" crew when you need 'em?

I finished the mission and made it back to the subpen.

Sure enough.. the No Event Camera box was un-checked. It decided I wasn't sure enough when I told it before that I was sure of the changes I wanted. :haha:

Not sure what you mean. When I load the game it automatically syncs the saved games.. is that what you mean?

If you click the little cog icon on the launcher you can disable online saves (many of us have) I'm guessing that you haven't , there have been issues with the online saves.

I've had a similar problem and I've found that the way to fix it is to go to options screen while docked in harbor. Unless you're not running a campaign... In that case I can't help.

Yes, that's where I do it from also. In the subpen while docked. The gameplay options in my game are not available to modify while in-game/on a mission.

Yes , as far as I know all the game saves are saved onto your hardrive. I have it set to save offline.

The sinc thing will still happen - so don't panic.

I clicked on the cog.. it asked if I was sure I did not want to sync online and I said yes. It then said the launcher would need to restart for it to take effect.

Restarted..... game loaded... it sync'd anyway.

That's kind of weird to me,since I have never been able to get the event camera to even work...always thought it was bugged.

Maybe since we are all linked on the internet to play the game.. somehow I got YOUR event camera by mistake? No wonder you can't find yours. :DL

The in game "synching" doesn't actually synch, it doesn't do anything as far as I can tell. It's the cog icon on the launcher that stops it from overwriting your games.
