Hi,

I bought the UBM addon awhile a go and recently came back to installing it again. However, although SH4 works, the UBM won't accept my serial code. I purchased it from th Ubisoft digital store, and they said they cannot help me. Anyone know what to do?

In case you're wondering, my original SH3 activation code is 2Q72EB4MKNIMMX2XW93RYCTYHG6S0H6B. I am just posting it here to prove that I bought the game legitimately.

The SH3 key that you entered is of no use in SH4, so why show it here. I hope you didn't put that into the sh4 addon key slot?

The SH4 addon key begins with sh4 and then has 16 characters like:

sh4-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

It was sent to you in an email. Don't input the game (sh4) activation key, as this is a different thing.

I also have a problem with the U-Boat addon. I have Windows 7 so I installed SH 4 in its own directory, not in Program Files. Patched to 1.4 it runs fine. When I install the U-Boat addon and input the activation key I received in an email, I keep getting an error message on the top box and an invalid key message on the bottom box. I tried disabling the Firewall and AV program but still the same.
I talked to Ubi support on the phone and he suggested I buy SH 5 because SH 4 doesn't run on Windows 7. Thank you!
Any help? If not I guess my only alternative is to play it without the U-Boat addon.:damn:

SH4 runs on Win 7. I know because I have it installed, with the 1.5 addon. The most common problem with the key not working for the UBM is its limited number of uses. I think you have to call up Ubi support and request more activations if I remember right.

I tried that but the guy kept telling me it wouldn't work with Win 7. I guess I can try again and hope I get a different person.

Yeah the guy you are getting probably is looking at the system requirements and going "oh this cant run on 7 because it's not listed here!" 7 is based off of vista so it can run on it. If you get the same run around again with the OS with Ubi support, just tell them its on vista. Some people you have to do the thinking for sometimes.

Contact support for a new activation key. I got mine in less than 24 hours. It works just fine w/ Windows7 64 bit.
