Not sure there is any other way than re-installing it with the Custom option.

@KiwiVenge
First of all, I dig your name.
Second of all, thanks to the DRM (I use that phrase nervously) your saves will be stored online so when you reinstall on your current machine or anywhere, you will still have your save game access.
The only exception to this is if you've turned off the "synch save files to server" option in the game loader.

Ya, I have sync server saves turned off. Seemed to be what everyone suggested to do.
I have no reason to reinstall at this point, was more just curious for future reference if the occasion ever arose.
But lets run with it, lets say i wanted to reinstall. Could I turn sync saves back on, load up one of my saves from the load menu and then save again (with sync on). Could I then uninstall SH5 and reinstall and access my sync save? I have heard it somewhere here that if you turn sync saves off it then deletes them, would I still have my on PC saves to access after?
At a glance sounds to me I could lose the lot, but not sure.
Guess with the new patch coming out this may become a common question if people want a fresh install for the new patch and mods that will be out.
Is it safe to say I can just use JSGME to remove the mods I used before I apply the patch would equal a fresh install?

Well, to start, yeah uninstalling the mods with JSGME before installing the next patch is widely agreed to be a good plan. Plus it's easy as pie with that program. Just make sure if you have a ton of stuff in your mod folder to export to a txt file the mods you have running before the uninstall of everything. Might save you a small headache later.
Secondly, I haven't turned my synch saves off myself... but I do remember reading a doom-sayer saying that if you did, and then turned it back on, you stand a good chance of losing save files. Maybe even the important ones that you want to continue.
Wish I had a more definite answer for you. Well, since the new patch is coming out soon, maybe you could take one for the team and find out :D
I think a lot of people will be wanting to start a new campaign once the new patch is out anyway so now might be a good time?

Ya, I would not be upset at having to start out again even if I lost my saves. However if I did it I am not sure I would represent what was possible compared to some of the very much more computer savvy people we have populating these forums. I am willing to give it a go still though :)

You could keep asking around, there's really some impressive minds lurking in these subsim waters. I'm sure you could find a solution with a bit of patience and the right member.
If you do decide to go for it, good luck man. Let us know how it goes...
and I'm real sorry if you lose everything because of me :o

Will give it a go if it turns out the new patch requires it.
If I lose everything it is all good and I would only have myself to blame. Besides I am one of those guys that isn't happy unless I restart my campaign a few dozen times anyway. I play for a while, have an 'oh, so that is how it works!' moment and then restart and apply what I learned. Rinse and repeat. :woot:

And in the end this may not even be necessary, but is good to chat about it here regardless :)

Forsooth, I'm the same way. Played SH4 to death for years and I'm ashamed to admit that, although I got close several times, I don't think I ever played it through to the "War is Over, Go Home and Have a Beer" message.
The joy is in the small things with these games, not the victory message.
