View Full Version : Anything New?

Well, it's been about two weeks since the last serious update. I know the 2010 meet is still 5 1/2 months in the future, but I'm just a little antsy for updates.

I've been thinking...we should set a night aside to do Mystery Subsim Theater. Just a bunch us of in one room, anywhere from tipsy to totally clobbered, watching U-571 (or something) and shouting crude and incredulous comments at the TV all the way through. We could even record it and put it up on YouTube for posterity.

Any takers?

I am kind of wondering about the itineraries, if anything new on that has come up?

I'm in serious crunch mode here, so it will be about 2 weeks before we can move forward. Nothing has changed, just in a holding pattern.

Oh! Oh! Great idea about the Mystery Subsim Theater. I just thanksed Jason for that, he pointed out it was your idea. Yes, I am very interested in setting up a movie night and doing this.

Well, I can't drink, so I'd have to sit through the movie sober.

No thanks!:rotfl2:

Well, as it says right on the DVD cover..."GRIPING FROM BEGINNING TO END!"

Or was that "gripping?" Ah, who cares.

Hi Bill,

I see you started flying and I just got my CFI. There may be more to talk about than just underwater warefare.

I just got word that my fire dept golf buddies want to make the yearly trip to play golf the same weekend as this trip. I emailed them back and said I am going up north to see subs and make some new friends on this trip so I am giving up golf, drinking and S_ _ _ p clubs for you guys.

As far as I know the date, or airport to fly into, hasn't been decided yet.

Well get on the ball then! By my count we have less than 4000 hours left!

That's only 240,000 minutes!

Tell him Steve...if I'm able to make it I expect a gleaming new white stretched limousine waiting for me :yep:

Either that or I'll simply hijack one :DL

I'm still thinking that Boston is the best place for everyone to rendezvous.

I am all in favor of Boston.

If we meet up in Boston I will try and get in a day earlier and see some of the non navy sites.

Ok as nothing has been said in awhile I went ahead and have reservations at the Marriott Long Warf in Boston on the September 22. I wanted to come in a day early and see some other sites. I will also look into renting a car or mini van.
