I was looking at some of those just yesterday. How are they?Heavy! Weighs a lot. Feels good to hold, solid, robust... Russian! http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z15/subject_rod/smilies/biggrin3.gif
Diameter 5,5 cm ~ 2 in
Use it a lot in TMO... "Single contact, Sir! Long distance!" click! :88)
Can only recommend it. Wanted an authentic WW2 US Chronometer, but changed my mind when I saw the price... this will be perfectly fine! :smug:

I love pocket watches.
High klaxon sirens hooked up to my doorbell? No. I can barely put up with the telephone ringing while I'm sleeping.:stare:

1944 US Navy Binoculars, made by the Spencer Lens Company. The case was made by Bausch & Lomb. And the cool thing is that the lenses (7x50) are crystal-clear.

Wow nice!!! What a find!
But, if that's do not fell authentic for a WWII american skipper, at least you can fake it as you were te skipper of the Red October. I believe that either Sean connery or Sam Neil uses one of those to time evnts on the movie.
Looks really great!

Just over a 100 bucks.

my grandpa has all sorts of stuff spanning all eras,
Civil war,
Korea,
WWII,
he doesn't have any WWI memorabilia oddly enough.
but Luke, he has 2 pair of those exact same binocs sitting in the garage. I know. but considering he has over $100,000 in guns and some really nasty nazi cutlery in his closet, why bother?
:haha:
I asked him for a pair though...he just glared at me:cry:
... Russian!
In Sovjet Russia teh chronometer watches you!
