And bought the game last night, so far aside from the few glitches i am quite happy with the game.... but not the boat i am forced to skipper.....

Is there a way to find the draft of the target boat (i've looked everywhere but cant find any info on this)

Do we really not get the chance to change boat?

Only variations of the VII............ at the moment. There are folders present for other subs, but it looks like it will be DLC in the future, if they're not modded in first.

the draft should be in the recognition manual. If not, there is a enhanced recognition manual mod available which shows it. This is what I use.

Have fun, its a great game.

Adding the Recognition Manual mod is the only way to get keel depth...

Not quite the only way. The torpedo depth selector shows the keel depth of the ship you have the scope locked on to.

Although, i think my career is bugged :(

Blockade of Germany is not logging my kills along the border :S

That keel depth only shows once you have ID'd the ship.

I also have problems with kills not contributing to the campaign tally. must have sunk at least 40 ships to finally get the 10 required.:damn:

Absolutely - go with the Rec Manual mod.

use what ever is your more comfortable with, yes you have to turn on the text based tdc stuff and pick out your target to get the depth of keel info in the stock version but ya have to know what ship your looking at with the guide as well if your using the mod, it is just a mater of where ya look and how many steps to id a contact. Until the magnetic detonators are fixed its a moot point just set the depth around 5m for large ships, and as shallow as they will go for destroyers. has worked for me so far. on an unrelated note I can't say how many destroyers got away from me in SH3 because I didn't set my torps more shallow. Likely more than 100. sigh.

I find the rec manual mod unnecessary because I'd have to ID the ship to make sure I was on the right page anyways. It's much more convenient for me to have it right there on the depth selector.

The war supplies mission, right? You have to sink the ships with tanks or trucks on their decks. Those are the ones that count. Hard to see this without cheating and using the external camera.
