Love it!:yeah: Especially the old Mercedes Benz going sideways around the hairpin.
Here is something really old school from when you could acutally look under the hood and know what's going on and then do something about it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibWk0AIFnDI

Had to see it to believe that guy sitting on the engine and manually operating the accelerator rod mechanism in the first video :o:DL
Pity the poor sod trying to steer without seeing.:o

Spa 1962 test lap. I like this one because it is my favorite track in "Grand Prix Legends".

You might like this one as well. I'm torn between Spa and Nurburgring. Both awesome old tracks.

Yeah I was going to mention der Nurburgring as well, but I suck on that track. That vid is scary! I liked the Bathurst 1000 vids also with those old Falcons dragging there butts around harried by buzzing Minis. :haha:
Things have sure changed in the safety equipment department. We have a race out here near San Francisco called "The 24 hrs of Lemons" where entries have to cost less than $500.00 (not including safety gear) and it has a large comic side to the cars. Seems connected as the cars are usually old beaters.

So much mroe variatey and drama and you caould almost never pick the result. Once things got more serious and professional in the late '80's it never felt quite the same.

It is a good thing that it is much safer than it used to be but somehow it has taken some of the magic away.
