Its a nice tutorial, but IMO using map contact updates on defeats the whole purpose of using the TDC manually. Sue you enter the data in manually but the rest is cheating IMO.

its a learning process..i did this primarily for a frnd of mine who got interested in the uboat thing..myself i play silent hunter since the sh2 was out...but this tutorial is meant for beginners not advanced users

Hey guys,

I'm very new to this SIM and I'm playing Silent Hunter V
I'm using the NEW UI 7.4 by Darkraith

The onscreen resolution is 1360x768.
I was trying out the Manual TDC torpedo attack, but the dials are large and the XO TDC box is in the way of the scope, hence unable to take the range of the target with the Stadimeter. Is there any way to reduce the dial size, move the XO TDC Box away from the scope view or reduce its size?

Check out TDW's Options File Editor Viewer

There is a change that you can make in the XOTDC Tab that will reposition over the Message Box

You can also resize the Message Box

There is also a Hot Key might be 'L' ?

At the top of the screen if you expand it you should see the XO icon that hides the XO.

really new to this and very interested in doing the hard way so as to feel at least a little bit of the pressure the U-Boat Captains faced in WWII

Folders 3 to 8 have all the resolutions.

no issues. I was able to play the SIM with the draggable version and that's fine.
the resolution is set to the max that is supported by my monitor.
