Okay I've heard of this but in SH4 but never seen it mentioned once in 5. I may have missed it.

I had an auto save pretty nice save just working my way into the middle of a juicy convoy. Yes I am submerged.

Sweet.... I clap and rub my hands together and order ahead full full right rudder. I wait for the boat to swing around when I notice shes not. Was a little confused at first till I looked at the speedometer and I'm doing like one knot. Extreme speed ahead ! Still doing one knot.

Finally the boat coasts to a stop I take a look at the external cam and the screws are stationary.

Crap :damn: so I reload the save and get the same behaviour the boat does not respond to heading/speed changes.

Oh and yes I have 100% battery left.

I have the following active

No damage in fact this was first contact this patrol.

I just tried taking out some mods and still have the same glitch.

So as a test I surfaced and poof we started moving. Unfortunatly the DD drew a quick bead on us and in three rounds had us badly damaged.

We managed to dive and even take a shot at the DD I did hit but alas it wasent fatal the second shot missed as the DD veered to miss it. Now hes on top of me.

I will probably get away but FfuuuuuuuuUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :damn::damn:

i had this happen as well, i ordered a turn n burn and hit TC to follow a contact and took way too long to realize the boat wasnt moving.

I'm sure you have thought of this but have you tried an earlier save an to intercept at the same position??
