Anyone played it?
Heard mixed reviews, ie. gameplay linear, great visuals, especially the subway areas, fairly short gameplay (can be finished in about 5 hours)...
 or  ?

I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go, and so far I'm loving it. Kinda a cross between STALKER, Fallout 3 and Borderlands, but it has great graphics, surprisingly good environments and a decent enough story. Really wanna read the book now.

Yup played and finished it.

Not Good:
Linear story. Repetitive people models.. and to few guns. No replay value. They use STALKER references bloody thieves like anomalies and surface stalkers looting... Game is too short. Bosses to kill. Two suits to wear..

The Good:
Amazing atmosphere. Amazing graphics. DX11 works wonders. http://gsc-game.com/images/_icons/em_hand_01.gif There are cool cut scenes moments. Sounds are cool. Ammo is scarce.. Knife fights plenty and dangerous.. I think aliens are invading they act like the controllers in the zone of Stalker. http://gsc-game.com/images/_icons/em_smile_03.gif Controlling your mind and its cool. Story is well done and interesting. Women and children! Creature swarms can be overwhelming.

Overall its fun game. But not my style. I'll stick with GSC stuff. There is more potential in STALKER than in metro 2033 I believe..

Great game from the original makers of Stalker before the team quit and formed their own studio due to publisher demands.

A great story line, very good graphically and great fun to play, has a lot of potential for development either via mods OR a sequel which if they do make one I hope that it is a non linear game to take advantage of the great atmosphere.

On the bad side it is extremely linear, not particularly replayable and unfortunately is very short: lots of buggering about and exploration and it still clocked in at under 10 hours for me.

Still, I very much enjoyed it and look forward to seeing more from them in the future!
