I've just finished my 4th patrol in my Type VIIB and i've still not come across any ships. I've patrolled the grids that have been assigned and then went to scout the convoy routes and single merchant routes and still nothing. I've got map contact updates on but nothing is being displayed on the map either, it's empty.
<< also note i feel like he looks haha.

You could make a save game and then enter a big enemy port. If there are no ships there either, you can be sure it's a bug.
That would be a bug I never heard of before though.

Im with Canovaro on this one, head over to scapa flow. If you don't see anything you may wan't to think about starting a new file (if this has happened to you for more than one day)

dont think its a bug - but 4 patrols! hmm:hmmm:
at present i am off Gibrolta in a storm - been there for two days and zilch - nix - nada - nothing, sailed all the way down there and nothing too. and yet on my last carreer before de:dead:th i sailed into two large convoys.
go up to Loch Ewe about 100 miles off the coast and drop to twenty meteres. TC up to 128 and leave it for a few hours.
also north of Ireland south of Shetland and same again - something MUST appear. dont forget to Zoom in on your boat to SEE the updates. make sure your Hydro guy is fit and healthy. Also do some listening yourself if you have not already.
50 - 100 miles off the East Coast of England is good for hunting early war - all this talk is making me want to go out and sink 'em or, well, try too!!
hope this helps......others will be along soon with theirs:up:

Are you sure that you don't have one of the other campaigns enabled, like Black Sea or Indian Ocean campaign?:hmmm:
:)

:D
no problem!
I was only slightly quicker in realizing what was going on.
during the second patrol of GWX I found out that the Black Sea campaign was enabled ......
(it was very wise of the GWX-team do delete all the traffic in the "other" world to improve performance)

That's got to be it, very clever of you :salute:
Yeah, those partial-campaign mods are not a bug, they are a feature! ;) To lessen the drain on your system since you won't be anywhere near there (that is: anytime soon...) and have nothing to do with what's going on there. Ofcourse, only IF the right region that matches your desired playing environment is enabled. Only enable the full campaign mod temporarily when (in port!, and )you need to switch between world regions.

Happened to me once. I forgot to turn off the Black Sea campaign. Just me in the Atlantic. Once I realized my mistake, I returned to port. Turned off the BS Campaign and went back out....let's just say I didn't have enough torpedoes..:damn:

LOL :DL
On a serious note....you could enable the Merged Campaign which enables traffic in all theatres of operations (useful for those who want to go roaming) but that obviously adds to the call/pressure on your system.
