Better medals for GWX3?

After looking through some of the medal mods out there I was wondering which one was the most popular?.Ideally I want a mod that renders medals in a higher resolution making them look more,well,more like they were made out of metal and not sewn on like a patch.
And yes,I like to see medals on my crew.If I can wear them why shouldnt my brave men also be allowed to display their achievements? It could even push them to greater heights with their shiny array of metal on their chests! (only kidding,I know it has no bearing on the game at all,its just pure old fashioned vanity I reckon).

I don't know man, when I slap a medal on a crewman there endurance(I forget what it's actually called) seems to go up

Wonder if its their renown figure that goes up,making them more effective? I havent really noticed personally,will have to look out for it.
Going back to the question,do you know of any mods that produce higher resolution medals? or just better looking in general?

Yep, a crewmember getting a medal is a benefit in terms of his performance in the game.

Whether or not crewmembers "wear" them in the game is purely a cosmetic choice.

There are mods that remove them and I know Raptor's Uniforms mod has a custom tga file for them that goes with it. I don't know of any mod specifically designed to make only the medals/badges look different. A search of the Downloads section with keyword 'medals' would probably turn up anything available here, or just scroll through the files in the SHIII Graphics section, it's the most likely place for such a mod to be.

Yes I used the search function Frau,and the best I could come up with was a blue KM uniform mod with an extra 'medals for the blue KM uniform'

Yeah, most of the modded tga files I've seen for medals come with uniform mods. If you find one you like though you could ask in the Mods forum whether or not it would work if you subbed in just that file and nothing else. I haven't looked at the relevant file in the game to see if there is more than just a cosmetic difference in medal appearance involved, so I don't know. Some of the modded tga files might actually require use of the entire uniform mod, always best to ask the modder.
