1915 ARMY BIBLE.. With a 1916 Bullet Head

I am Happy to keep this in the family... But If there is 1 of you out there whom wishes to own this more than I want to sell it you Start the bidding...

Here we have a Family Heir-loom from my extentend Family....

Corpral WH Pimm (william henry)

1st served as 1 of Kitcheners Troopers in Sth Africa in Boer war..
Continued his service into WW1...

Story goes that he was praying with his BIBLE Before battle as a stray bullet from the Balltefield found its way into the end of the Bible.... What a stroke of luck..... Shame it didnt last as it is thought that he recieved Fatal wounds and Died 3 days later from those wounds.. Sustaind with in 48hrs of the Bible Saving his life.

I hate to say it but that reads a bit suspicious to me. I'd want to sight and have analysed, the documents that support this artefact. TBH would be too easy to fake as only a photo would be provided and the opening words of the sale don;t ring true with me.

Perhaps I'm just an old cynic.:hmmm:

Nah, you could be right Tarjak, I was on the TM forums just before and some are saying its probably another stunt, some mates one sticks up the bogus auction and his mates bid over the top prices so no one will bid cause of it, the thrill they get from it is watching their bogus auction hit the news papers providing its strange enough or even getting as far as a television interview where they still carry their bogus story. 99% of the time these guys are Uni students.

Then again we have had some crazy auctions where they were genuine. I'll see what happens come Sunday.
