That is more sensible way of doing a verification rather than idiocy of UBI's DRM. Do the check on the startup and quit the connection rather than have to be connected all the time.

Only idiots at UBI are blind and retart in doing the verification a simple matter.

A tiny step in the right direction, but after this big step forward by Ubisoft and EA, it will take a big step back for me to consider any of the products again. A small step won't do anymore after this lesson.
Single-player games may have whatever kind of DRM that doesn't bug my computer, I don't care, but the moment it asks me to go online even only a single time, it is too much.

There is no added-value from any online requirement, no free "43-45 addon & type IX" addon or anything like to be expected as a gratifying return. But a way to bind customers to future marketing schemes. I am sorry but I think customers are really getting kicked in their butt these days. And then companies wonder why there is piracy... Ignorant...
