Check in the mod folder in the MODS folder. You'll probably find a folder with the same name as the mod. Rename the folder in the MODS folder, move the mod folder in the mod folder to the MODS folder, and delete the one you renamed.

Did that make sense?

there is a big problem right off the bat

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT UNZIP MODS TO THE GAME FOLDER OR JSGME

unzip them only to your desktop of documents folder and then "check them" to be sure they are structured correctly so they will work

mods are created by lots of people who dont always know as much about putting a mod together as the do about making changes to the game.

to work correctly a mod must look like this: (mod folder/ data folder) and not (mod folder/ mod folder/ data folder)

when you open the mod folder you just see a "data" folder inside

if you see another folder that isnt named "data" then THAT folder is the actual mod and the only folder you should put into jsgme.

(most mods are constructed like this and its done that way so the mod can usually be acompanied by a "read me" or "documents" folder, both of which also dont belond in jsgme and are there just for information purposes)

open that one too and check to be sure the "data" folder is the first thing you see
