As the title says.............. i have just had a great Patrol, i have sunk a Sovreign Class BB, travelled south and for the first time ever seen a Flat Top. Managed to sink both :D.


I play on 76/9 % realism with basically everything turned off but Fuel and map contact, .... i think.

HOWEVER, one of the escorts has followed me North like an annoying little fly and just buzzes around me, no amount of creeping away silently works. So i tried a direct approach and surfaced, still couldnt shake him at flank speed, so i tried my deck gun on him, nope, i couldnt even encourage him to a battle :damn:. So i carried on North with this pesky escort buzzing around me at about 6500 - 7000 metres away. Then even though i have been surfaced for quite some hours Co2 is high and my crew are about to suffocate. Please Please is there a fix for this before i lose my BB and Falt Top:-?

Hi Nico,

This is a well known bug. Normally a save and reload fixes it

Cheers peeps, i did a search for "Co2" but nowt came up. I take it that fixes the Co2 prob, what about the escort?

I was talking about the escort lol. Save - reload , escort should be gone.

I had an escort give me the hives and a few STDs to boot. He was aweful hard to get rid of. It took days and days of effort to escape.

Change course often. Go deep and shut down engines and wait, go to periscope depth after dark, or in a storm, and seperate at flank speed for 8 hours.

Keep moving, and lure him to a friendly task force? I dunno... go to periscope depth and shoot at him.

I seperated after finally doing that, I went to 20 meters and fired off a slow moving torpedo running at 10 meters, and drove the other way while he chased the torpedo. When I had 10k, I surfaced and ran all night for the nearest naval base.
