I mean the comic is funny, but with such topics in times like these (must..get..patch...aah*dies*) you're hanging by a thread, waiting for that damned moment when the next (hopefully HUGE) patch comes up.

I will no longer be a UBISoft or Electronic Arts customer as long as they continue this DRM style and as long as they release unfinished ALPHA software just so they can get it out the door and charge their ridiculous prices to those of us spending our hard earned money.

Of course it does not help that I DO NOT HAVE INTERNET access at my home! Every couple months I go to my daughters but even that is a dialup so ANY kind of downloading is not possible regardless.

What pisses me off is that this is very similar to the gun control issue... You take away the ability for law abiding citizens, in this case paying customers, to own and use what they purchased legally and at some point only the criminals will still use and own them.

Someone in those companies needs to freaking wake up and quit looking at the bottom line as their only incentive.

Did anyone ask them one simple question? Do they REALLY think that any hacker and pirate is going to 'buy' the game EVER? If they really think they can change those that do pirate then I have ownership of some land on Jupiter to sell. Very nice, great view, bit stormy but great vacation spot I say! :88)

don't forget april fools is just around the cornerNah, Sh5 is just a big, bad joke itself it doesn't need to become the target for other jokes :DL

" ... but when it comes down to it.. if he had no internet connection, how did the DRM then send a data to the satillite. ..."

It is always lame to explain a joke, but :rotfl2:

Imagine that he plays, and suddenly loses internet connection ?

When i tried to log in some 20 times, and it finally worked after stating 19 times i had no internet connection which i certainly had - i would be thrown out again half an hour later.
The other chance is not to get the "lost connection" bug, but the "wrong passsword" bug.
It is just no fun to "play" that way, i don't know whether you understand this ? :-?

The thing is that it is harder for the buying customer to play the sim, and face all kinds of bugs and consequences like lost games, than using the pirated offline version. Why does UBI not allow single mission players to play offline when its paying customers want exactly to do that ?

Greetings,
Catfish
