Sounds like a problem with the card/driver. Try setting the driver up so it leaves stuff like AA in application's control. :hmmm:

Anyone know if the SLI settings apply to dual-GPU cards? :06:

Sounds like a corrupted installation base.
Where did you purchase SH5 (Steam, Amazon etc.)?

slupanter

Play.com. you think i should get in touch with them?

Hi slupanter,

Yes, you could contact them or UBI to help you.
But there are some steps you could take before doing so.

Does play.com provide DVD's or online downloads?
If the last, it should be possible to re-download the game.
That I would try first.

When installing from a DVD, use default option.

I don't have the game so I'm not sure if this is related to your problem. Some games I have installed didn't work right until I right clicked on the shortcut and then disabled things under the compatibility tab like Disable desktop composition, Disable display scaling on high DPI settings, etc. Give those two a shot and see if it makes a difference for you. Good luck.

If your installation fails on two seperate confirgurations, I would conclude that it IS indeed your installation copy thats broken. Its the only mutual piece of that puzzle

 its not the game. I've tried a P version and it does the same thing. I think the game doesn't like my pcs :wah:

Same thing here. I suspect, an ampere weakness on 12V output of the powersupply to the graphics card. This is not an easy solution at all! Drivers, PCIe bus, graphics card, settings...anything!Goodluck, 99,5% the game copy is alright.

do you mean the twin 6 pin 8 pin connector? i tryed it on my other pc (AMD 955 black ed 4GB 1066 N280 GTX) and i still have the same problem. has any got a N295/ Windows 7 or the same problem? i dont know if it one of those 2.

I'm using a GTS250/1G (lesser model, but new!) with its own connection to my 550-watt Antec PS and Windows 7/64 Home Premium - no problems here!

Do you mean the twin 12v 8 and 6 pin powersupply?

This is really driving me mad

The 12V for PCIe. Maybe the PSU gives much power e.g. 850Watt but the supply of the graphics card is not good enough. Modern ATI cards require very high Ampere output (30+) at the 12V.

On my 280 and 295 are two 12v plugs an eight pin and a six pin. Both pc have got 880 watt power with two twin 6 and 8 pin spurs (so a each spur has 1 6 six and 1 8 pin) I simply plug the 8 pin from one spur and 6 pin from the other. Easier with pics. How you drop pics in on the forum?
