I've been playing on a laptop and am well into (June '43) my first career but want to continue on a PC which is much faster. Anybody know what files I need/can copy to transfer over to the PC so I can carry on instead of starting all over? I've searched some of the folders on the laptop but am not sure where I need to goto to do so.

Just copy and over-write the SH4 folder from MY DOCUMENTS into
the new My Documents in the faster PC.
If this dont work, or if the game crashes, change your Career name to the one in the Old PC
Hope this helps..:salute:

I was hoping to just copy a file or two instead of the whole program. But the more I think about it I think I will start over but with one of the SuperMods like TMO or RFB. I've been playing stock so far but with the SCAF and MaxOptics mod and even though the game is playable on the laptop with like 30 fps at the minimum with no TC I figured the SuperMods would slow it down too much.
Thanks anyway and appreciate the reply.

He is not saying copy the whole game. The game is normally in Program files. He is copying the save games in the "MY documents" folder not the Program files folder.

Now I see it. Thought everything would be in the SH4 folder.
But you know what? Just had a go on the PC with a fresh start and it's no faster on that machine then on my laptop, actually it's slower. Eventually had everything cranked down and when on the Bridge it wouldn't go higher than 2 fps where on the laptop it chugs along at like 20. Which is kinda strange as it seems that MS FlightSimX get's better frame rates on the PC than the laptop.
Thanks again anyway, I'll just keep plugging along on the laptop, and after a few hours sitting in the chair in front of the PC my neck get's stiff anyway.
