View Full Version : Ship Spotted Problem

As in - my WO only gives me the verbal warning if it is an enemy ship.

So I'm cruising along at 128 TC and stumble across a contact.
I have altered my TC settings so that whether it is an enemy ship or a neutral ship it drops to 1 TC.

However, if it is an enemy ship the 'Ship Spotted' speech file plays.
If it is a neutral, nothing, my WO stays mute.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Since I noticed it , it is really annoying the hell out of me.

A big part of this game for me is closing on my contact, wondering if it is a viable target, until I get close enough to hopefully ID the flag.

As my game stands at the moment, as soon as my TC drops to 1, I instantly know whether the ship is enemy or neutral, depending on whether my WO says anything or not.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Is there a solution?

Have you tried removing the WO and relying solely on the tc changing (after you have altered the parameters in SH Commander)?

Sorry Fader_Berg :(

I've kind of found a work around Jimbuna.
I've taken all the 'ship spotted' speech files and edited them so that they're totally silent.
Then I rely on the TC dropping to 1.
Similar to what you have just suggested.
It's not ideal, but it works.
