These guys can shoot through the eye of a needle , 4500mts away (moving target)at night in heavy seas rain every 3rd shot would either be a hit or explode in the water that close it damaged the pressure hull.

It was like they were shooting from a ship at anchor in a dead clam sea

Yeah its strange that their 4" guns only just damage the pressure hull but machine gun fire can obliterate the hull in seconds

Seems the merchants in SH5 sport cannon MUCH earlier in the War than is historically accurate. Ran into my first non-machine gun in latter 1939 on a troop carrier. AND, as mentioned by previous poster, DEADLY accurate!
