Destroyer Battles

When I first started the game a few weeks ago, a German destroyer followed me out into the Atlantic and stayed wioth me for a while. Eventually, I was intercepted by a British escort, thinking the German would open fire and protect me I remained on the surface only for the German to do nothing and the Brit to totally ignore hime and target me instead.

Has anyone else come across this???

I have encountered numerous examples of the AI behaving strangely when it comes to relations with enemy surface vessels.

The best thing to do is run SH5 windowed, have the AI Script debugger running and watch how that particular unit is behaving in the debugger, you may see why it's doing that.
