yeah I am still learning how it all worked, a bit of a learning curve too with alot of the technical stuff in german.:hmmm:

basically I made the thread to use the enigma sim to give out side orders for when in campain mode, like report back ship types and their numbers spotted while on patrol, and sink certain amounts of a certain type ship and report back, etc. something fun to use the enigma with:O:

so, if interested, report back in enigma with the codesheet I provided above with your current position ingame and weapon loadout if not at port, and i'll issue each of u side orders for your location on the map that u can undertake while on patrol, and when finished, post your patrol report back here encoded in enigma and await further orders, from me or who ever has something neat and interesting to try out:D

as far as I understand it right now, navy comunications were kept as brief, to the point as possable, sent out over the airwaves as morse code, but no idea for how long a duration and repeats for each message.
what I am figureing out now, is that alot of the messages had extra letters to them at the begining and end to designate what kind of message it is and who its from, and even 'dummy' letters to help scramble the code up. but we'll keep it simple here, nothing super fancy, learnin is hard:88)

With the exception of you sending an patrol report and BdU replying to it and the rare case of BdU giving you new orders, there is none.
