1.4b patch,does it matter if the file ends in .us ?

Due to game crashes over the last couple of days I have had to resort to clean installing everything again this time without certain mods which appear problematic,and have saved my current GWX career,and I am now in the process of applying the 1.4 patch.Using the files available at Ubisoft I chose the top file (Retail DVD versions).When the d/l popup appears the file ends in .us ,clearly indicating US versions,would that be a problem for me? assuming my copy is the UK version.

It has been awhile, but I thought the patches were divided into downloaded version or DVD.:hmmm:
Does it have a choice of more than 2 patch possibilities in 1.4?

You are right,DVD and download versions,yet I have seen both US and European/UK versions.I was curious if it would actually matter at all.
I think the 2 file extensions are:
- .us
- .euea (something to that effect)

I think it does make a difference. iirc the patch won't install on the other region version. Since you live in the UK i guess you should go with the emea (europe, middle east, asia) version. Unless you ordered it from the US online.

Nope,got mine from GAME in UK mate way back in 2005 :yep:
Anyway,euma version is the one I installed.

The first one (left to right) is for those who purchased the DVD and the second one is for those who downloaded the game from a game site.
