Boat only surfaces to 8M?

I have a problem that my if I click on the surface icon, the sub only surfaces to 8M.
I then need to emergency surface as I cannot open the hatch to the CT.
I only have OldStyleSHControls_1_3_1_ByTheDarkWraith installed.
What have I done wrong?

I have the same problem but it can be fixed by clicking the depth gauge dial at 0 depth. I'm running about 20 mods but i'm not sure which one it is it.

I had this too, and think it was after installing the "Interior working dials" mod. Not only does it fix the interior dials, but it sets the threshold between surface and submerged to around 8m, to allow running at decks awash without getting locked on the bridge, unable to open the hatch.

When ordering surface (with the button or 'R' key), my boat often stopped at 8m also. I'm not certain that it's this mod, but seems likely for me.

But that wouldn't explain it in your case, Barso, since you only have the old dials mod.

Odd that a mod that was supposed to fix dial faces inside your sub would drastically change the core operation of your u-boat. :06:

I had the same issue, and yes, the mod does change the surface depth to 8 meters. If you read the top of his thread, you'll see it is intentional.

I just don't understand why some modders choose to mix two unrelated modifications into one mod. I can understand the supermods, where everything has to be made to work together, but not something like this.

Not that I'm ungrateful for all the hard work, I just prefer to have the smaller, unrelated issues modded separately.
