Almost killed my first capital ship but it killed me! I did hit it two torpedoes, it staggered out of convoy and was half sunken. I surfaced, did get closer of it and slammed 2 more torpedoes on it, the crew shout out happily...and while i watched how it did sink it suddenly became awake and, believe or not, half sunken ship, Nelson class BB, all turrets under water, shot me to pieces!!! That was my second patrol, two and half hour of hunting and such a sad end.

How did i should know that half sunken battleships can shoot me back turrets under water...eh, half of ship under water?! :(

I would like load my career and sink it again...Usually i start another career after i get killed but this time im tempted to load old save game cause it is ridiculous and not so logical finish

Half sunken ships should not shoot back!

Until a ship with guns sinks, it's foolish to surface within range of it. :)

Part of the game engine limitations I'm afraid.

Until a ship is declared "dead" by the game engine all departments are full functional no matter where they're. Therefore the main guns even under the water will still be firing.

Nothing we can do about it unfortunately

Amen to that Bro.

Happened to me to. In one of my better careers. Was a bloody Nelson.
Since I played with 100% Realism settings without and the External Cam I felt the need to see it happen. Since I spent many hours getting pounded, i felt there was an little reward in order so I surfaced and watched.:shifty:

And it was a valuable lesson. The Joy of watching something big and fat sink isn't as good as the joy of staying alive in a DiD campaign.

The need to watch the prey sink was also the doom of many real life Uboats.
:nope:

This is exact copy what happened to me! Same ship and same reason. I had 100% realism too and i did WANT to see how my first battleship do sink.

Well, curiosity killed the cat...
