Good Mod for SH4 - Stock version? (without U-Boat missions)

Hello guys,

are there good mods for the normal version of SH4 out there?

i plan to reinstall it (this without U-Boat Missions) and this time with a good mod!

I recently had to reinstall SH4 after a mod that I downloaded from another site caused the game to go somwwhat beserk. Let me explain: I downloaded a mod called Pre-Pearl Harbor V.2 and tried to install it using JGSME as per the mod's instructions. The enabler could not find the mod. I then installed it manually. This is where things went bad on me. First off, I could not start a career "pre-Pearl Harbor" as the site said I'd be able to do. Then, the mission briefing screens were totally blank except for the BACK and NEXT buttons. What should I do? I REALLY want to use this mod(and YES it's for SH4 v.1.4)!!! PLEASE HELP!!!:damn:

Pranne, in response to your post, I recommend any of the submarine skins on subsims.com. I especially like the hi-res Balao skin, but you need to download (for free) a program called 7zip to be able to use this mod. I also recommend the Capt. Midnight's CBS Radio mod, which you will also need 7zip for. For the radio mod, what I did was to paste the songs and ads into the Washington radio station that comes with the game, and I did the same with the events, putting them in the Washington EVENTS folder. Hope this helps!

Found it on the Downloadsection of subsim. It´s an old mod made for 1.2 or 1.3.

It adds some speechfiles and some more of this old us uboat-film with, i believe, Clark Gable ( can´t remember the title of the movie. In Germany it´s "Torpedo los").
Good for immersion playing with Fleetboats imho

I chose the Large Super Mod and Campaign Mod route instead of installing many individual mods..
