Hello,
"in a web-based vehicle-immobilization system normally used to get the attention of consumers delinquent in their auto payments "
i think it's not for real ? :o:stare::shifty::nope:
If yes my interest in oldtimer cars has just risen to a 100 percent.
They can keep their electronis, "modern" cars break down more often due to electronic problems than to real mechanical failure.
And to think that a government or whoever can control your car ? What a great idea. Welcome to the brave new world - seems it becomes worse than even depicted in the book back then.
Another nice thing is that if you fall into a river with your new shiny car with electrical window regulators, and maybe electric door locks as featured in some types, you will not be able to get out of the car anymore. Just saw a report on that, what kind of people develop cars today ?
Greetings,
Catfish

Heh... that reminds me of the story I read a week or two ago where micro chips were being placed on trash bins... yes trash bins.
The chip could automatically weigh the contents of the bin and sort of bill you "Pay as you throw".
Heres a tip put the heavy crap in your neighbors bin :haha:

Indeed. It would seem that fiction is becoming reality. Dark times, dark times.

No, I think you'll find he meant "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley (think that's right...too lazy to google and I've not read it for some years).
