To upgrade to a new video driver.

In the past I had several entries for the video card in "add or remove programs".

Now I have win 7 64 bit, and under "programs and features" all I can find is "ATI Catalyst Install Manager." It is 22.1 mb in size.

I can find no other reference to the ccc manager or the driver itself.

What is the proper way to upgrade my ccc and ATI driver to a newer version? Shouldn't there be more to remove first than just that installer?

....thanks in advance.

Check the driver's installation instructions. They'll no doubt cover the uninstallation of the previous driver.

My download was an .exe with no readme or instructions.

Oh ok they've now "hidden" the instructions a bit better than before. When my GPU was still supported(until Catalyst 9.3) they had the driver download link, the release notes and the installation/uninstallation instructions all on the same page so they were impossible to miss.

Might want to boot into safe mode after uninstall and use Driver Sweeper to clean out stuff that gets left behind (ATI - Display). Not strictly nescesary, but still something I'd recommend.
