Why doesn't my mission get completed?

The british coastal waters mission told me to sink 50.000t. And locate to the east coast of britian. When I had sank about 25.000t I got a new objective that said to relocate to the english channel.
There i sank about 27.000t more.

But i dont get any confirmation that the mission in completed. I returned to Kiel and noticed that I still could request that same mission.
So I loaded an old savegame where I had sank 52.000t and just had refitted.
So I went out to the English east coast and found a small convoy right off the east coast and sank 9 more ships, and now had a total of 102.000t sunk.

But still, no completed mission! Anybody knows what is wrong?

I think the English Channel stuff is too far away to count for the shoreline stuff?

when you click the circle that's the mission objective there's a little bar there that will fill up as you sink that tonnage. If the ship you sink isn't in the right spot it won't fill the bar.

Yeah i thought so too, therefore I patroled and found the convoy spott on the red marked line that shows when you click on the mission objective.

speaking of unfinished mission :
the total germany misson with the aircraft carrier I had sink over 100000 tons within british polar patrol , sank 2 battleship in scapa flaw and sank an aircraft carrier and still I can not proceed to another level ?

what can I do? how can I manually edit mission status from saved files?

Now i have sank two ships just outside the coast. Almost as near the coast as you can get, but still the bar does not show any progress at all.

i got like you others menny problems whit my game, i cant play the toturial whitout my game starts bugg:wah:

so i hade to start my game full realism and jump over the toturial to play the game, weard:shucks:

so i dont know if i can complet the other missions any idee???????

Are you guys using any kind of game crack? I was using one and the same thing happened to me.

Again the only problems I ever had with the missions was when I used the crack. I have to ask you another question. How far away do you get from your patrol zone when your problem happens?

That Aircraft Carrier must spawn from Plymouth node (does not matter what kind it just needs to spawn there NOT being anchored in Plymouth! So do some underater sonar check southwest of plymouth about 30-50K for a few days) not Scapa Flow (Scapa Flow node is only for those 5 armed merchants from secondary mission)

I own it too. When the UBI servers were down. I used the crack. I have Windows 7 Pro and it works just fine. Make sure you have your game patched. If so then try reinstalling it and re-patching it. If that does not work then it not your fault. It's UBI's fault. That's really all you can do. I'm sorry.

Skid Rows Game crack is the problem most of the time!
If you are going to use that Crack?
Do not ask for help from here!

Even admitting openly that you are bypassing Ubi's Security
may be grounds for Brig time at the lest!

If you use the crack?
Deal with the problems in silence.
Or by PM's, E-Mail, or what have you.

Every crack for every SH Game has problems!
I know most of them.
I can prove most of them.
This kind of stuff I know!

If all is legit?
Connections to the Super Duty,
Black Hole powered Ubi DRM system
is probably at fault.
There may be a misallignment in the flux drive.

If ubisoft had sold a game that was fully playable then i culd call people with ilegal copies for thief but in this case i whont because this is ubi´s error ther mistake:nope:

Hey guys, hey barth, glad you solved your problem but actually, i got exactly the same... When i first play tutorial, i sink the 4 ships then return to Kiel where the officer offers me no mission at all :cry:.
So i started another campaign skipping tutorial, asked for british coastal waters mission and the bar won't fill up, even though when i sink a ship close enough to the mark, the "temporary" objective is achieved:salute:.

Also, each time i load a campaign savegame, i get a message telling me there is no internet connection at the time and that i must click ok to go back to main menu, which i get around by pressing Esc... That mustn't be right:06:

Needless to say my game is legit, i bought the downloadable version from gamesload.fr. I tried to reinstall it, even downloaded it again to make sure files weren't corrupted. At that point i don't know what else i can do.

I just can't tell you how much i regret that i bought this game now, but i know that thanks to you guys the game will be well worth it in a few months! Hell it was the same with SH4!
I hope somebody finally figures the problem and in the meantime i'll be back to the Silent Service:arrgh!:!!!

I'm on dial up and with a computer acting as a proxy server so I can share the connection with other computers. It work just fine. Sure from time to time I get that message about losing my internet connection. I was going to press escape like you did so I just waited. Eventually it came back, or in some cases I would have to re-dialup and the game would just resume.

By presseing escape I'm guessing you are choosing to play offline. By doing that you can sink as many ships as you want. You just wont fill up that progress bar. Your right when you said the game says you accomplished your objective.

So basically, I think you should try what I did by waiting for the game to re-establish connection. I bet you'll find that it works. I might just be worth trying.

PS: Silent Service ROCKS!!!!

Thanks a lot vanvar, unfortunately i tried this and never worked so far...
Also i'm on broadband so what should i do to restart my connection? Plug out and plug in again? :hmmm:

Anyway i'll give it another try and let you guys know if it went well...

I'm just trying that, and sure enough the message won't disappear although my internet is well working (hell i'm writing on this forum at the same time sh5 can't find my bloody connection).

That's very odd. The longest I ever waited for that message to go away was about three minutes. I'm not sure what could be causing this to happen to you.

It could be firewall related. I'm have a hard time believing that if you can login with the game launcher in the first place. From what is sounds like, I don't think the problem is on your end. Is not imposable but it could be a UBI problem.

You just need to think what would cause you to lose the connection with the UBI server. Perhaps they don't have the capacity where ever you are??? Or, perhaps (if you have) your firewall could be blocking your requests. It could be just a problem with sync. of the saved games.

I would try turning off sync. save games to server. There a few ways to do this. Here is one way. Go to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher. Once there edit the settings.ini file.

Make it look like mine above. See how I said no to saving online. Try this and if this fails then I really don't know what you should do.

I also suspect the problem is not on my end, since i tried shutting off my firewall as well and the ubi launcher connects in the first place. I've been trying to write ubi support an email but my browser won't let me (once i send the support request form, firefox gets stuck)...:damn:
