Have no clue, game was running fine, now it's slow. In the office, the mouse almost doesn't move. If I start the game, it's playable, but slow. What's funny, it really doesn't change. I may get 30 FPS with no ships around, but will stay the same if I run into a large TF. My FPS average 17 inside the sub to about 30 out.

AMD 64x2 6000
4 mgs of Cor. ram.
nvidia 260 GTX
SB x-fi

Removed and reloaded all drivers, video, sound, MB, ect...
Removed game, all mods, load all new..
Checked ram...all is fine.
Ran 3 video stability test...I was in the high end of normal on all.
DX 9 shows fine, but a new install.

Played my sons Call of Duty and it runs great.

No matter what I do I still get this dang lag that I didn't have before. I don't want to reinstall windows, but that's a last option.

My guess something running in the back ground. Try checking task manager and disableing any anti virus. May also be worth monitoring temperatures, could be overheating. Realtemp should give a good idea of overall temperatures

I seem to have stumbled on a similar problem. I reinstalled Windows, and when I got SHIV reinstalled with the exact mods I was using before, the mouse lag was ridiculous, and the game itself was kind of slow. I thought maybe I was just imagining it.

No idea what could cause it.

Hello, I too had a similar problem in the last few days. The way I fixed mine was to uninstall the game and mods completely. Then instead of reinstalling in the default location I created a folder on my desktop and installed the game / mods to the new location. It solved it immediately. I am not the best at computer savy but by installing in different location it worked quite well. Im sure someone who knows more about computers than I will know perhaps why this worked. Hope this helps, good luck to ya.

I finally went into the registry and found some left over driver files that I deleted manually....that fixed it.
