View Full Version : Killed out of nowhere
I was playing on the Eastern side of G.B. near the port of Blythe, when after successfully sinking a Destroyer and Merchant ship, the only ships around, I returned to course and started up the T.C. to 128x when within 20 seconds, the death screen was showed my submarine being sunk by a DD out of nowhere. There were no sound contacts nor visual contacts, not even while i was being attacked as I just died out of nowhere.
Does my watch crew just suck or is this an addressed bug?

yeah its a bug, one of 9,000,000
Arg :arrgh!:, one of the major ones that needs to be fixed in my opinion.
I've fixed crashes, overheating problems, CTD's, and just this left.
All in all, still in good spirits though.

Question, Chad. What are your options for Realistic Sensors and Map Contacts?
Had this problem a LOT when I was playing with RS On and MC off.
I have run into this problem sailing west of Ireland at high time compression (1024x IIRC) and I have realistic sensors on, map contact updates on.
Hey Neal,
91% Realism, with only External Camera on.
So I think I am using realistic sensors.

Yeah, I am playing with realistic sensors on and off, in different patrols. I think that's what the problem is. With RS off, and enhanced detection ranges, I have not experienced any high TC crashes like before.
Neal, did you mod a config file or something for enhaned detection range?
