I found something rather amusing today. I was playing some gramaphone records on the way home and desided to obeserve the cook making the dreaded soup. To my amazment he sometimes dances to the music and bobs his head to it! LOL.

I wonder what he'd do if i loaded up some old slayer mp3's.

He'd probably chase me with the knife screaming "Angel of Deaaaaath!!!!".

Yeh, just noticed that too. Nothing to do with the music, tho.

I noticed that while looking though the animations. It's not actually tied to music playing tho. Just another idle animation (three actually) that plays every so often. Quite alot of work went into all these animations, many of which are not used.

Wp:SetGlobalVariable( VAR_SQ_COOK_STATE, 1 );
Wp:Goto( "SQ_COOK_B" );
Wp:PlayAnimationAndWait( "SQ_COOK_B_Idle01" );
Wp:PlayAnimationAndWait( "SQ_COOK_B_Dance01" );
Wp:PlayAnimationAndWait( "SQ_COOK_B_Idle01" );
Wp:PlayAnimationAndWait( "SQ_COOK_B_Dance01" );
Wp:SetGlobalVariable( VAR_SQ_COOK_STATE, 0 );

I already had in mind to make a pwnage video about it, but i don`t think this cook worthy of such attention. I mean every time i pass by and see his soup......... :doh:http://smiles.dolf.ru/dolf_ru_996.gif

Yes it seems he only knows how to make soup! He never makes patato,s or something. No wonder my crew morale is low! Hey have to live only on soup!

Yeah I been watching these animations too, but I dont have my gramaphone working yet so I kept wonder what he's hearing that im not.:06:
But the one animation I thought was funny was the Bosun sneaking a taste, and Olaf waving the knife at him and the Bosun just kept at it.
But they are just routines not tied to anything properly cause I also saw Olaf doing the same thing later on, and the Bosun wasnt even there but sitting in his bunk. Lots of things like this though, and no one is on the other end of the show. The crewmember is waving and apparently talking but no actual speech is heard, and there's no one in front of him. Or in the bunk below as some are doing this from their bunk.
There also animations that occur if you click on them when in close enough proximity. Usually just truning towrds you and nodding or something.

You guys have obviously never had authentic German pea soup. :nope:

Your loss! Feel free to pass yours over to my boat when we rendezvous for the attack in map sector A37D4. My crew and I run happily on that green sludge! :yeah:
It's not until we're down to onions and stale crackers that things start to get difficult in the kitchen.

Only soup for monts at end! Thats worse than prison!

They should have made 10 animations for different dishes, at least.

Ahh yes that was my thinking. And more so, how bout some coffee? That was served up more than anything.

Special soup? whats that? more peber than usual? Not better with coffee or a bottle of beer to raise morale?

How about playing delightful music "das boot-style" to change the mood of the crew (perhaps this could be modded?). Nothing like a 'sing along song' to ease their minds or perhaps remember home 2000miles away :yeah:

Wait a minute. That reminds me , wasnt there supposed to be a feature accurding to the Q&A that the cook had the ability to give them Coffee at a certain level to increase crew effeciancy or something?

I dont know Oscar, I haven't read any of that. But it does sound like a good way to keep everyone alert, I mean I sure do down plenty of it playing this sim.:88)
