Issue with plane explosions

Guys, anyone else not happy with destroyed plane behaviour?

I was attacked by a Mosquito diving in on a bomb and strafing run. I fired no more than 2 rounds at it and suddenly it exploded in a huge fireball, with about a dozen smaller explosions all around it that filled the sky - exactly the same as a ship exploding!

No debris or wreckage crashed into the sea, it just vanished! It's not the first time I've seen it either. No matter what the plane they explode like ammo ships!

Very arcade-like in my opinion. Is this normal? :hmmm: It looks awful. :down:

Yea, I haven't been able to got the gunners to fire yet. I get them to man the guns, but they don't fire, and I can't do the binocular lock on thing either.

Hi guys,

I shot them down manually - I have no way of getting my crew to fire at anything!

I loaded up the 'river raid' historical mission and hit high TC for a while until planes were spotted. Several attacked me (amazingly!), but they are destroyed too easily as well! :down:

Another annoying 'bug' is the ammo reload bar that sits right where your sights are when you aim the gun high and blocking out your target. Very frustrating!

One other thing that makes no sense - do the crew die? I watched from the free camera as several planes strafed and bombed the sub - some were direct hits making the whole sub rock quite violently - yet no damage was evident, and the guys on the tower just stood there pointing at invisible sh*t in the water! I even had men manning the deck gun on another occasion and still they were not harmed!:damn:
