Yup I swore I would never buy it with that s**tty DRM
But went and ordered it tonight.. along with the Das Boot mini series as i have only ever seen the thearter release and directors cut.
(so i have somthing to do while waiting to log in :har:)
I only got it because
1. I have faith in the modding teams:up:
2. I have a weak spot for ww2 sims than i do Japanese girls...:oops:
3. There ARE ways to avoid the DRM and still support the development :arrgh!:
4. From youtube vids it dosent look THAT bad.
5. I have played all the other ww2 sub games

Well, I didn't know the HMS Vulture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benedict_Arnold#Plot_exposed) was a german sub...:hmmm:

I am running two mods, The one GUI mod and a sound mod, I like the game, graphics are way nice. I like the crew interaction. There are some aspects that definitely need mods to correct but overall it isnt bad at all.
Besides, what Silent Hunter game when first introduced has been an overnight success without the need for mods?
Give this game time for the mods to dissect and, well you know the rest.

I've got about a dozen tweaks installed, and already it feels like stock Silent Hunter III:up:. Between the awesome graphics and the incredibly potential this game's moddability brings about, there's really no reason to hate it as much as the naysayers do.

I think it comes down to if you one of the unlucky ones that experience the lion's share of authentication server problems then the game could be disappointing. If you are one of the lucky ones who wonder what people are talking about when they say they can't connect then gaming life will be good.
Feeling lucky? :hmmm:

I AGREE :up:
The modders make great job, and with the current advancement we can think that the game will be greater after one or two month.
Thanks a lot MOD's guys :rock::rock::rock:
