View Full Version : Wrong submarine details ?

Been reading about the various type VII boats and the type VIIB has 14 spare torpedoes, and in the game we only got 6 spares and one external. Is the wikipedia information wrong about those spares ?

The displacement values both submerged and on surface are also
different between what we can see in the game, and what can be
found searching with Google or on Wikipedia.

Where can we find the real values and details for each submarine ?

How many torpedoes did really each of those boats from the type II to the type XXI really carried ?

Is it me or our submarines look a bit smaler than their real life ones in the game ? The type VIIB seems a bit small to me when I compare its width with people on the deck.

And where the hell did they find the space to store 14 torpedoes inside the submarine + 4 in the tubes at the bow ?

IIRC it's 14 torpedos total on a Type VII... Which would include the 5 fish loaded in the tubes before you set off. I'm pretty sure the game portrays the number of torpedos available in each type accurately... as for the displacement and actual size though :hmmm:

The wikipedia page has to be fixed.
They should say it's 14 torpedoes in total, including the 4 bow
tubes and the 1 stern tube.

The displacement values are all wrong when compared to
information available from Uboat.net too.
