Decided to start playing at full realism now that I understand the game a little more. Only thing I have unchecked is the stabalized view to aid in Stadimeter readings.
Now as discussed quite a bit here the Stadimeter is iffy, somethigns you measure from the stacks, some from the masts.
I even went back to a save with contacts on, and could find no realiable way to use the Stadimeter to get accurate range information at pretty much any range. Same is true for speed ratings. Since I cannot get an accurate distance I can't map the targets path on the map to get accurate speed or AOB information. I am generally eyeballing AOB once the target is close enough to see, however How am I supposed to get accurate speed data?
The speed that is being calculated in the TDC speed screen is generally way off the actual speed the map contacts are reporting.
So is there a reliable way to get speed and range Calculations without an accurate stadimeter?
