Silent Hunter 4 Saved Game Load Crash

It seems my file gets corrupted. My Dive planes don't extend, and when I load the game it crashes. Any idea what is causing this?

Will need more info to give you any kind of help.
What game are you running, 1.4 or 1.5 what OS, mods, etc.
Crashes are caused by any number of things.

The dive plane thing usually just go away by itself.

So you loaded 1.5 and started from there, no playing with files or mods in the past.

Assuming no left over files from mods, ect.. a few questions.
Have you played before without a problem or have you gotten crashes from the very start?

Are you in career mode?

Do you have DX9 installed?

What are your system specs?

Are your drivers updated?

I am doing career mode, I have the latest nvidia drivers w/ gtx 295.

I think I had a similar problem in the past, can't remember though, I have done some searches and I am certainly not alone in this issue.

I wonder if it has to do with giving the sub orders while under time compression, not sure though.


Also, it tends to happen after there has been some action, though I don't think this is necessarily required for the issue.

I am getting the same thing too. Running 1.5 U-Boat missions, Career, no mods, and it just started happening. I've found that it is the last save I make when exiting the game that I get a window that pops up when loading saying " Silent Hunter IV has failed to responed." then the game exits.

same issue, but it only started for me after i watched the battle of surrigao straight with its 50 or so warships blowing up above me.

running 1.5 uboats, tmo 2.5 and rsrdc.....also i have the large address aware software enabled for sh4 and it still happens
