My AI crewmen shoot 50m below a plane with the 20mm flak (both single- and double barrel versions) even on very short distances.
The 3.7cm flak seems to work fine (tested only in multiplayer).

Basically the flak is useless, unless you man it yourself.
Maybe that's why UBI made it so that planes don't attack you? :D

Is it only me, or does someone else have this issue?

Yup. They are lousy shots. My deck gun crew shoots way...WAY...over targets too. Wish the crew was more dependable, I'm tired of doing everything myself. I wish they'd tell me how many rounds they have left also.

Btw. when I said the 37mm Flak works fine, I meant that it actually hits.

BUT:

1) It sounds the same as the 20mm Flak
2) It has about the same rate of fire as the 20mm

According to wikipedia, the 20mm had a RoF of 450 and the 37mm Flak 43(!) - which was automatic - only had a Rof of 150.
I did't find RoF value of the 37mm Flak 37 (which is the one in SH5 i believe) which probably is considerably slower firing then the '43 version.
