Deck gun, aft to fore

I just returned to port and switched my deck gun from aft to forward. In the crew management however, I can't assign anyone to it. Is this some kind of game glitch? I can use it manually, but it takes forever to reload. I'm in a Porpoise class sub, May 1942. Any thoughts?:stare:

Moving the deck gun is a bug and there is a workaround but it is a compacted
file editing thing.
Most just live with the rear deck gun till you get a new boat. At that time you can select a bow gun most of the time.

PS is that Bob Hope in your siggy, if so I loved the guy one of my top 10 people of the 20th. century.

Well screw it then. The aft deck gun has a better fire arc anyways. :roll:
I play the game for fun and realism. But I like variety instead of sticking to one thing. My sub, equipment, and crew dictates my strategy.:rock:
