Is there a way to turn off the autosave function? Every now and then the game pauses so it can autosave and it's driving me nuts! :damn:
I don't think it's part of the save game sync, as I have that turned off, but I can't find anything anywhere that would let me turn off autosaving.

I have been trying to figure that out myself. I have not found anything as yet.
I search the forums every 3 or 4 days looking for answers...:damn:

Well, thank you for at least mentioning you have the same problem. I was beginning to think I was the only one.
I just can't believe that no one else is complaining about this, considering how intrusive and mood-killing it is.

It's a small annoyance, but not exactly game breaking.

Mine usually saves at fortuitous moments, when I think 'Oh yeah, I probably should have saved here'.

That's to turn off the online saves, which can destroy days or weeks of gameplay, not the in game auto-saves, which are perfectly fine just a little annoying.

It's actually saved a game or two for me!

I like the autosaves..
I played sims last night for like an hour and had a power glitch... no saves :nope:
I'm lazy and absent minded and forget to save.

Well thank you everyone for posting just to say how this is not an issue for you.
I happen to find the autosave feature annoying as hell, and I would still like to hear from anyone who has figured out how to turn it off.
(heh, how's that for a snippy response :O:)

Very snippy. If you post something in a public forum, expect others to voice opinions which may differ from your own.

It's more likely that it's simply not possible to turn off auto-saves then it is that we're hiding the information from you deliberately.

I find it absurd you dont have a choice to turn it off.

Are you saying you play:
Without the launcher saving the games? (Something we already know about)
Without the in game startup "synching games" window? (Annoying but no workaround that I've seen yet)
Without auto-saving while playing the game? (What this thread was about)
Or without OSP entirely? (Erm...)

I think it's an invasive immersion killer. Has anyone solved this yet?
