Who says that this is a buggy game?

I started a new career. I got underway at 2130hrs 3 September 1939 from the pen at Kiel. I made my first kill at 2211, a Polish merchantman steaming along the KIEL CANAL!!!!!!!!!!

While I expect BdU will be pleased, I reckon that Grosadmiral Raeder might be just a teansy bit annoyed at my placing a blockship in the North Sea / Baltic shortcut.

Oh talking of bugs, has anyone else had his boat sink in the pen?

On my first campaign mission, I noticed a 'red' icon sailing down the canal, too. I ignored it, never occured to me that the game could be that knackered.

I first saw the subject and thought... bah, i've sunk a ship faster than that thanks to time acceleration... but then i read your post and you're talking about the game time! Most impressive... maybe just tell Raeder you saw other boats going too fast through the shortcut and you thought a speed bump would be nice?

I sure am glad I decided to check yalls opinions on the game before buying it this time around. Doesn't sound like it's ready... and I'm guessing it won't be unless and until the grey wolves decide to make a meal out of it...

Got you beat! When I started my new campaign there was a sunken ship (red ship sunk icon) INSIDE the Kiel sub harbor, just where the pen exits north to the canal entrance. :) First kill 0 min!

Yep sunk that crazy Pole too in the canal
Sure some crazy routes used ingame
Low countries in German hands and still have British merchants sailing to Amsterdam

if you are talking about the pre-mission setup, yeah, mine did that too. kinda funny, the watch crew cleared the deck, I sat and watched in horror and disbelief until...it bobbed right back up like a cork
